This is a great independent breakfast restaurant located just north of Dallas in the small suburb of Addison. Serving breakfast and lunch, this is a great spot for a fast, quality breakfast or late Sunday brunch with the whole family.
Although this restaurant does not offer counter service or any booths, they do keep a coffee pot on the table, much like you see at IHOP, allowing you to keep your coffee cup filled the entire time! Large windows throughout the restaurant offer a bright and welcoming dinning room.
The food is consistently served fast and is always fresh with great flavor. They offer a wide variety of sensible entrees with a limited selection of traditional souther fired foods. The “Joe’s Special” is awesome and one of my favorites! A wide variety of unique breakfast entrees are mixed in with all the breakfast classics, including basic egg combos, omelets, Belgian waffles, and corned beef hash. They usually have a “featured special” for every season, such as pumpkin pancakes! The orange juice is a fresh squeeze and well worth the extra cost.
Service in the restaurant is usually attentive and friendly, but never really “wowing.” Overall cleanliness is very good, dinning room and restroom appear tidy and well maintained. Management is friendly and seems to always engaged in ensuring customer satisfaction. Pricing is a bit steep, but the attention to detail and product quality makes it a good value. Although they have a cash register in the front lobby area the servers will process your payment at the table making the departure fast and convenient.
Overall I highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast in north Dallas. Located just west of the Dallas North Tollway, the location is easy to find at the corner of Beltline Road and Addison Road. It is a great destination and I support the ratings on Urbanspoon and think the ratings on Yelp slightly misrepresent the overall quality of this independent breakfast restaurant
